School trip security guard cleared of rape allegations

A 28-year-old man has recently been cleared of rape allegations in the Vienna Regional Court. He was being accused of forcing sexual acts upon a 19-year-old student while on a school trip in Croatia.

The 28-year-old man who was accused of the rape had just been released from prison when he got the security guard position on the high school trip to Croatia. According to the 19-year-old girl’s statement, she got drunk and the security guard escorted her to her apartment room.

She said that rather than leaving after escorting her home, he laid down next to her on the bed and performed unwanted sexual acts. The girl said that she didn’t manage to get away from him because she was too drunk, but she certainly didn’t give any signals that she wanted to have sex.

The man has had a somewhat different statement. He admitted to escorting the girl up to her room, although he was warned against doing this when he accepted the job. He admitted to also being drunk and wanting something from the girl when escorting her to the room. According to the man, he had laid next to her, but it didn’t seem to him like anything was wrong.

He kissed the girl’s neck, stroked her hair, but nothing else happened.

The girl’s roommate testified that she saw the two in bed and that she asked the security guard to leave. She didn’t want to leave the two alone as one of their classmates had been raped the day before.

In other news, the windstorm that swept through Vienna not long ago caused serious damage in the city. Among other things, the front door of the Funpalast Saunaclub has also been blown in by the heavy winds.

According to the owner, this hasn’t caused too much of a problem.

A replacement door has been installed and the activities continued in peace.

Readings showed a top wind speed of 124 km/h, and the Viennese fire brigade was called more than a dozen times to emergencies that day.
